How to review indentation
A first-line indent moves only the beginning of a paragraph. Do not confuse it with moving the entire paragraph’s left margin or inserting spaces and tabs manually.
Locate the highlighted paragraph and open Word’s Paragraph settings. Choose a special first-line indent and set the appropriate measurement. Check whether the text belongs to the paper’s body or to an exception such as a block quotation or reference-list entry.
Read paragraph alignment and indentation before applying the change to several styles.
